Convert a nest box to a camera nest box...

Sometimes you may need to convert an existing box into a camera nest box. This is easliy done with resin windows, cutter and glue.

By popular demand we are now able to sell a nest box adaption kit. This kit allows you to adapt an existing nest box in to a camera nest box easily and quickly.

Why have it?
In order to see colour footage in your nest box, you will need enough natural light to help the camera see in colour without disturbing the birds. If you have too little light, the camera will always view in black and white (or infrared mode). Too much light and the birds may get disturbed or the nest box will overheat and cause danger for your birds. The nest box adaption kit is a perfect extra as it solves all issues quickly and easily and can prove to be a fun project for young and old.

The complete kit includes:

  • Two solid handykam opaque resin windows - The windows are designed to let in a bit of light, enough for the colour camera to work. The windows are UV protected and opaque enough to let in light without disturbing the birds.
  • Hole saw kit - 7 hole saws in one. Just add the 50mm cutter to your power drill and cut holes.
  • Tube of superglue - Allowing you to glue the windows in easily and quickly.
