We do not maintain expensive showrooms or retail premises, so, as much as we would love to meet our customers while they holiday in Cornwall, sadly we do not have the facilities for doing so. It does, however, allow us to pass on quite substantial savings in our prices. Prudent (or suspicious) enquirers often ask us why so many of our products are so much cheaper than similar products elsewhere. The reason is that we make most of our products ourselves in-house, or by taking up slack time out of season in small local workshops. We import many components, cameras and other things directly from manufacturers around the world. We offer many of the resulting products direct to our customers without extra wholesale and retail tiers built into our pricing. We may not get rich quickly or build an empire, but it is a steady, satisfying way to do business and many of our customers become online friends. A lot of our business comes from personal recommendation, so we save on expensive advertising campaigns, junk mail and glossy brochures, allowing us to pass on these savings, tooNo problemYou may be reticent to buy online from an unknown company, and it is good to be aware of the dangers. However, we are a registered UK company that has been in business for ten years at the same address, and you have all the legal protection you would enjoy if shopping on your high street. In reality, we try to do a lot more for our customers than simply meet legal requirements. We are registered under the Data Protection Act so your privacy will be respected and your details will never be divulged to anyone else, for any reason. Where we take credit card details over the phone, the information is written down on a paper form and incinerated as soon as the details have been processed to guarantee your security.
