Yes all the nest boxes are hand made, pre assembled and ready to use. They are build using stainless steel screws with cross heads so you can easily take them apart to clean or modify.
Does the nest box come with all the kit as advertised? Yes, we have spent a long time developing a good kit that is virtually plug in and play with virtually everything you will need. You may not need all the parts, but they help if you want to place your bird box in many locations.
Are your nest boxes suitable for children? Certainly, all our kits are suitable for children. For installing, we recommend an adult be at hand to help with the electrics or tools.
Not sure if I should go for a wired or wireless system? We constantly look at the pros and cons of all systems. On the whole, we would recommend a wired system. Have a look at our wireless nest box article on this.
How does the nest box kit arrive? The nest box kit is safely packed in a strong card board box with plenty of packaging. Everything in the kit is labeled and easy to understand. The kit comes with extensive instructions helping you install and use your nest box kit. We mainly use recycled boxes and packaging which is better for the environment too.

How long does a nest box take to install? The nest box is virtually plug in and play. You will get the plug in and play kit working in a few moments. Most setups take about an hour to completely install straight from the box as it comes with complete illustrated instructions.

You can either plug the leads straight into the TV via the phono (RCA) plugs. Or you can connect to the TV via a scart adapter (supplied). The system runs through the AV channel, therefore not requiring the TV to be tuned. Can I connect the nest box camera to a PC? Yes you can connect your nest box camera to a PC if you use one of our USB capture devices. It is easy to use and install and use. I am not technical, will I be able to install it? Once set up, they offer many hours of fun. Can I used more than one camera on my TV? You can connect multiple cameras to your TV via our three way switcher. All you do is connect the cable to the switcher and flick between each camera. The switchers can be tiered to handle more than three cameras. Unfortunately, you will still need cables and power supplies for each camera. Is there a warrenty for the kit? We normally offer a years warrenty with all our kits. Normally, this is never used as our kits are tested and last a long time. The nest box comes with all the fixtures and fittings to easily allow you to mount your box on a wall, tree, fence and more. All camera systems are based on the AV channel and do not require tuning. Are the boxes suitable for most song birds? The nest box has been designed with most song birds in mind. The hole can suit most small birds and includes the option to remove the middle panel, allowing open nesting birds. I am not keen on the cable, is there a solution around this? Wired nest boxes are preferred as they offer the best quality footage without any compromise. You can always hide or disguise the cable by pinning it to a fence or burying it. Can I order extra cable if it is too short? Yes, we do sell extension cables, allowing you to extend your cable by 10m, 20m, or 50m easily and quickly. Is infra-red dangerous for birds? No infra-red has no effect on human, birds or animals. It is just a higher frequency of light which is outside the visable spectrum.
