| Worn on a belt reel and chest plate, the system is light, hands-free and so portable you can easily climb ladders, scaffolding and companion ways while wearing it. It drops down holes and cavities, attaches onto drain rods for use as a drain camera, clips onto poles as a high-lift building survey camera, and is supplied with a clip-on wand to use as a rummage camera.
The HandyKam system comes in a compact toolbox carry case that is easy to stow away in your car or truck. It takes only a couple of minutes to set up and is complete with a range of accessories that give HandyKam its practicality, versatility and growing popularity with contractors and surveyors. |

Cable and reel
The standard model is fitted with 20m of extremely flexible cable, wound onto a reel. The reel is supported on a chassis containing the camera's holster. When stored in the holster, the camera is held safely in place by a leather cover and press stud - important if you're crawling in confined spaces. A curly cable hangs out of the bottom of the chassis that plugs into a socket on the control box. The cable reel unit can be clipped round your waist on a strong webbing tool belt for comfort. The unit is entirely manufactured out of strong, corrosion proof industrial PVC. |

Chest unit
The Chest unit has fully adjustable neck and body webbing to hold the unit close to your body. Like the other parts, it is made of strong industrial PVC. It carries the leather battery pouch, the control box and an adjustable arm supporting the colour TV monitor. It can be worn on your chest but it will free stand on the floor or bench beside you.
Chest unit: The Battery
The battery is a good quality, 12v 3.2Ah rechargeable acid-gel battery, contained in a black leather battery pouch secured by press studs. The battery plugs into the control box and can provide over two hours of use with the camera, monitor and lights full on. |
Chest unit: The Control Box
This has the usual on/off switch and fuseholder, a dimmer to control the lights in the camera head, a 4/4 phone socket for the curly lead from the reel unit, and a DC socket for the battery lead. It also has 12v DC and signal cables that feed through the arm to the colour TV monitor. It is provided with extra 12v DC OUT and AV OUT sockets to allow you to feed the camera pictures as video or stills to a second monitor or a camcorder, video recorder, digicam, MP4 recorder or any other similar storage device with AV IN. Saved pictures and video clips can then be used for reports, quotes, insurance claims, invoicing and other purposes. |

Chest unit: The Monitor Arm
Tthe monitor arm allows the monitor to fold flat against the body for climbing ladders, etc, and also fold flat for stowing away in the toolbox.
Chest unit: The Monitor
The monitor is a 5" LCD colour monitor, mounted in a sturdy PVC cradle for protection. It provides good, clear continuous colour pictures, allowing you to examine the inside of pipes, holes, chimneys and cavities, the surface of walls and the condition of brickwork, trusswork and other structures close up. A leather monitor cover, secured by press studs, is provided to protect the monitor when not in use. The monitor is held in the cradle by a standard camera mount thumbscrew.
The monitor is also a colour TV that can be viewed while on the HandyKam. A separate TV stand, TV battery holder, TV power supply (UK 3 pin) and TV remote control are provided in the kit, together with full instructions, so you can easily detach the monitor and use it separately as a portable TV, in-car TV or camping TV. |
