With the IP device, you can allow others to see the cameras across the internet. Normally, the IP device is only accessible on your network. The IP (Or unique number for the device) is usually http://192.168.0.* (Where * is a number usually from 1-9). This is only accessible across you network. However, you make it viewable across the internet easily.
Options for streaming IP converter over the web |
There are 3 main ways you can do this.
1) Web streaming software – Easiest option
All you do is install the software, upload the files to the server and embed or access the software across the internet. Click here for advanced web streaming software
2) Refreshed static images embedded into web page – Harder option

3) Accessing the device directly by DynDNS – Hardest option
If you want someone to connect to your IP convertor directly you will need to map your IP address (unique number for connection) to a universal IP number or name across the internet. If you simply give someone your IP address http://192.168.0.* etc it won’t work.
