During a lifetime of a bird box, there plenty of activity from bird scouting out a box, nighttime roosting, attracting a mate for a first viewing, making a nest and moving the furniture in (grass and moss), laying eggs, raising brood to fledging. Camera bird boxes are a great way to document the whole journey of avian life.
One such website, our birdbox.com, has taken this a step further with a fine bird box blog. This well written and addictive site is good example of showing the ups and downs of bird box life and documenting the voyage. Neil has added many nice clips of birds as well as observations along the way. The blog format design really makes you want to pop back for the latest installments with his Handykam nestbox. |
Good bits
Check out the video clips of the birds jumping in and out the box. The camera and lighting is good and feels like they are going to pop out of the computer at you. Great stuff and thanks Neil for a good website. Fingers crossed for nesting soon too.
And finally
Why not pop up a box and maybe a camera too. They are great fun and will keep you and others amused for hours. Go for it, have a look and bookmark it today.
