In late June, we were honoured with an invite by Chris Beardshaw and his team to display a Handykam cedar camera nest box in his show garden at the 2007 RHS Hampton Court Flower Show.
The nest box was also recommended by Chris in his weekly Daily Mail column as selected garden ‘Gem’.

Talented designer and more
Chris Beardshaw is an accomplished garden designer, writer, lecturer and popular TV presenter. He started working with plants at a young age and quickly become an experienced landscape designer, horticulturalist and lecture. While working on a show garden he was spotted by a film crew and started a career in TV including Gardeners world and his own successful series Flying gardener. Throughout his career, his passion for bring plants and people together is reflected in everything he does.

The Hampton Court Palace show garden
The Hampton Court Flower Show is from 3rd to 8th of July and features some of most imaginary garden designers today. This year Chris worked in conjunction with the department for education and skills in a show garden entitled ‘The Growing Schools Garden – learning outside the classroom. ‘The garden is distinctive as it involves more than 30 schools, who have helped with the features and grow many of the plants'. The garden consists of many elements helping educate children in different habitats, plants and eco systems as well as being visually appealing and interactive.
Nestbox camera system
A handykam cedar nestbox camera system was erected on a wonderful built, lime rendered, straw bale study centre within the show garden. The idea was the nestbox would be a fun way to learn about birds from eggs to flight. It followed the central theme of learning and having fun through nature and the environment. - Click here to get yours

Amazing garden, amazing results
Chris’s garden was stunning. There was three weeks of hard work, by him and his team, turning empty land into a stunning piece of landscape and garden design. Everyone worked hard and the end results are a must to see. His strong and shared vision throughout his team has produced a stunning garden worthy of RHS Gold. Go and have a look for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
